The same power that conquered the grave lives in me. It lives in you. While I served as a youth pastor years ago I was once asked by a member of the youth group why I prayed. On the surface it seems like a strange question. It isn’t though. Not at all. It was a great question. It was clear, direct and sincere. My answer was just as clear, direct and sincere. I expect God to answer and even deliver a miracle if needed. My only surprise was that this youth member grew up in the church. While she attended our youth group meetings she had a church home that she and her family attended .
When we pray we should do so with expectation. Believing God is on our side and will move on our behalf. I say this because it’s true. It doesn’t mean that life isn’t hard. We will face trials just as Christ did. Not every prayer is answered with a miracle, but pray every prayer with the expectation that God is listening and is ready to help us in our time of need and suffering.
Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
